Dr. Scotty Hogan - Pastor
Bro. Scotty began his ministry at Westmeade as senior pastor on Easter Sunday,
April 23, 2000. He is a native of Danville, Alabama and received his Master of Divinity
and Doctor of Ministry degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Bro. Scotty and his wife, Kathy, have three daughters, Alison, Sarah, and Joanna.
Joanna lives in Birmingham and works at the Birmingham airport. Sarah lives
in Lake Charles, LA and works at McNeese State University as Executive Assistant
to the President. Alison is married to Rev. Matt Haines who is pastor of Sixth Street
Baptist Church in Alexander City, AL. Matt & Alison are parents to Bro. Scotty & Kathy’s
four
grandsons; Nathan, Andrew, John David & Josh.

Larry Bottom - Minister of Education
Larry joined the Westmeade Staff on May 7, 2007. He has served churches in
Alabama and Tennessee with the most recent being Bethlehem Baptist Church,
Hazel Green, AL. Larry received a Master of Religious Education from Covington
Theological Seminary. He is actively involved in Associational and State leadership
training. He has participated in numerous mission trips both in the United States
and overseas. Larry and his wife, Shelia, have two daughters. Brittany who is married
to Andrew Sharp and Brandi.

Joshua Duke - Minister of Music & Worship
Joshua was called to be Minister of Music at Westmeade in January of 2011 after
serving for over 4 years as Assistant Minister of Music at First Baptist Church,
Montgomery, AL. Joshua received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education at
Tennessee Technological University in 2003 and has a Master of Church Music
Degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Carri,
a phenomenal teacher, cook, and mother.
They have a daughter, Samantha Grace,
who at 1 year of age was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This challenge has
strengthened their faith and dependency on Jesus Christ. Psalm 115:1 is his
theme verse; “Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because
of your love and faithfulness.” He invites you to visit his website

Julie Buckley- Minister to Preschool & Children
Ms. Julie began serving at Westmeade on October 23, 1995.
She is from Oklahoma. Oklahoma Baptist University is where she graduated
from with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. She then continued her education at
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX where she received
a Master of Religious Education in 1985. She served in two churches in
Texas as Preschool Minster before coming to Westmeade as Minister of
Preschool and Children.

Brandon Starnes - Student Minister
Brandon Starnes joined the Westmeade staff August 2007 as Minister to Students.
He has served several churches in this capacity, most recently being Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church, Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. Brandon received his Bachelor of
General Studies and Religion from William Carey College in 2005 and has a
Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He married Westmeade's Dana Chaney in 2006. Dana is also a graduate of
William Carey College with a degree in Classical Guitar Performance. Brandon
and Dana enjoy leading worship together and they compliment each other very
well in ministry. "My heart is helping teenagers by leading them to Jesus and by
mentoring them." Brandon enjoys biking, kayaking, fishing, tennis, golf, weight
lifting and guitar.

Kathy Hogan - Missions & Ministry Associate
Kathy was called as Missions & Ministry Associate in November 2007 after serving
Westmeade as Office Manager/Pastor's Ministry Associate for seven years.
Her ministry focus is on coordinating our mission efforts and assisting the pastor
in ministry. She also continues in the position of Office Manager until that position
is filled. Kathy enjoys serving the Lord alongside her husband at Westmeade and
is very appreciative to the church for giving her this opportunity!
