Loving Others
'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22:39
Loving Others is the second greatest commandment. When God brings a person
into right relationship with Himself through the forgiveness provided by His Son,
He expects and demands for man to have a right relationship with others. Jesus
gave us a new commandment (John 13:34)” …Love one another…by this all men
will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” At The Refuge, we
strive to demonstrate that Christ is truly in our lives by loving others.the students
connect to God through student led worship and by the proclaiming and preaching
of God's Holy word. Students are challenged with scripture to pursue a life with Christ.

Serving In Our World
Lastly in the purpose statement of THE RFUGE student ministry is to equip students to Go out and spread and teach the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. That being our Schools, community , city, State, Country, and World.
Serving in our World is the mandate the Lord Jesus left His church. He came
into this world to serve and not to be served according to Matthew 20:28.
Because He left us the example of servant hood, we are called to follow in His
steps. One day our actions will be called to account based on how we served in
our world as revealed by the passage Matthew 25:31-40. Jesus clearly states that
when we have served others, we have served Him.

12th grade Doctrine and Systematic Theology

What is a systematic theology? Many different definitions have been given, but for the purposes of this book the following definition will be used: Systematic theology is any study that answers the question, "What does the whole Bible teach us today?" about any given topic.
This definition indicates that systematic theology involves collecting and understanding all the relevant passages in the Bible on various topics and then summarizing their teachings clearly so that we know what to believe about each topic.
Synopsis. This introductory textbook has several distinctive features: a strong emphasis on the scriptural basis for each doctrine; clear writing, with technical terms kept to a minimum; and a contemporary approach.
Description. The Christian church has a long tradition of systematic theology, that is, studying theology and doctrine organized around fairly standard categories such as the Word of God, redemption, and Jesus Christ. This introduction to systematic theology has several distinctive features:
- A strong emphasis on the scriptural basis for each doctrine and teaching.
- Clear writing, with technical terms kept to a minimum.
- A contemporary approach, treating subjects of special interest to the church today.
- A friendly tone, appealing to the emotions and the spirit as well as the intellect.
- Frequent application to life.
- Resources for worship with each chapter.
- Bibliographies with each chapter that cross-reference subjects to a wide range of other systematic theologies.
Widely read and very well accepted, this systematic theology has been recommended enthusiastically by writers, speakers, and pastors alike. Here are a few of their endorsements.
Chuck Colson, Prison Fellowship Ministries Wayne Grudem understands that every Christian "does theology," that doctrine inevitably finds its application in the believer's life. Clearly written, this volume demonstrates an appreciation for the rich diversity of traditions within the body of Christ while at the same time reminding us that our faith is rooted in historic Christian truth.
John Piper, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Minneapolis Systematic Theology is remarkable for its extraordinary juxtapositions. It is penetrating but not confusing; forthright and unequivocal but not reckless or overstated; readable and clear but not superficial; biblically grounded, even biblically saturated, but not textually careless or glib; devout and reverent but not uncritical or naive; practical but not trendy or sentimental; comprehensive but not majoring on minors; a book for the church but not parochial or sectarian. I expect to turn to it for decades.
Thank you for the heart and passion that you put into these student lives, if there is anything that I can do to help equip you to teach our students please don't hesitate to let me know.
