GUIDELINES
THERefuge_FRIDAYS
1.Parents must come in and sign their student in and not just drop them off without making sure the refuge is even open. This happened last week students were just dropped off without any adult there.
- also students who go to the gym must sign out at the refuge and sign in when they get to the gym same thing applies when leaving gym.
2.All students must sit under the reading of the rules and guidelines of the refuge if it is there first time. ( as of now every student must go listen to the guidelines from a adult)
- no fighting.we have a zero tolerance for this. one warning and a second time they are asked to leave and if they still do not listen the cops will be notified and escort them off campus.
- no cussing - if they are heard cussing tell them not too one warning and if they continue too ask them to leave.
- if a student ever has to be removed by the police they are no longer allowed back at a refuge fridays.
"This is a function of the student ministry and our church, we want to maintain a Christ like atmosphere at all times."
- no one is allowed in other parts of the church but the refuge or the gym and only allowed in the gym if their are two adults to monitor.
- adults are not allowed to stay in the refuge if they have not went through volunteer training.
- no food is permitted in any other part of the refuge than the cafe area.
- no touching the screens
If they don’t want to play a game and want to watch tv, they have to get a certified media trained person to make the change.
-.respect the unisex restroom
There is only one restroom and it is unisex. Always knock before entering. Be respectful and leave the bathroom clean for the next person.
Games
all games must be rented out. If you rent a game , remote out you are responsible for it. If you break it, or do not return it you will be responsible for replacing it. (there is a replacement fee sheet on the game table.)
media center
No one is allowed in the media center other than those who have been through the training sessions. The equipment is worth thousands of dollars.
- if a student wants a game they do not come in and just get it, the adult running the media center will get the game for them and sign the students name next to the game or whatever they check out.
Exits near the stage
These exits are for emergency only. The church office space is off limits. If caught wandering in that area. Students will be warned and a second time asked to leave for that evening.
Patio area and outside
Only allowed to be in that area as long as their is an adult present. If you want to hang out in the patio please inform a adult.
stage
The sound equipment and instruments are for those who are in the student bands. Please do not play or unplug any device on the stage unless you have been through the training sessions for tearing down and setting up the sound equipment.
-Furniture please do not jump on, put feet on, seat on arms of furniture.
-when you have permission to get on the stage please use the steps to go up and down stage.
-Do not go in the storage rooms.
- please do not just hang out in the restroom others may need to use it.
- cafe no one besides trained staff should be behind the cafe ares
- items are for sale in the cafe , they are not free.
- if you steal the items , charges could be made with police.
VOLUNTEERS
Duties as a volunteer
-arrange to get the key before 4:30 on Friday
-be at the refuge at 6:30 to set up do not open doors until 7:00 pm
-put all game stations out only no games or remotes
-turn on power to sound board projectors do not need to be on
-start a new game rental sheet
- make sure doors near stage are locked
- make sure doors past Brandon's office are locked in hall by gym
- make sure money is counted in cafe
- make sure there are two adults in refuge to monitor and two in gym
( if you do not have enough to have two adults in both places at all times then the facilities unmanned need to be closed)
Closing
- put game stations back in the place they were in when found
- put square stools are placed back
- power down media center
Cafe
- make last call , close out tabs. 10:45 pm
- count money out get a second signature
- money made must be filled out on pink slip and place with money
- register is locked and money earned with pink slip is locked in safe in the holy grounds storage cafe
- make sure drinks are stocked back
- tables are wiped down
- trash is taken out
- lock mini fridge
- make sure nacho machine is off
lock down
-lock the gym doors

- lock the media doors
- turn out all lights
